Last Updated: March 22, 2026 Welcome to AlexMa's Blog (hereinafter referred to as "this site").
We understand the importance of privacy to you. This site operates on the principle of data minimization, does not display advertisements, does not perform cross-site tracking, and strives to collect as little personal data as possible. This Privacy Policy aims to transparently explain how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you visit and use this site.

1. Contact Information

  • Webmaster / Data Controller: alexma233
  • Contact Email: i@fur.im

If you have any questions, comments regarding this policy or your data processing, or wish to exercise your relevant rights, please contact us via the methods above.

2. Types of Data Processed and Purpose

To maintain the normal operation of the website and provide a better reading experience, we process necessary data in the following specific scenarios:

1. Infrastructure and Security (Cloudflare)

This site uses Cloudflare's CDN distribution, content caching, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) services. When you visit this site, Cloudflare automatically processes the following basic technical information at the network edge:

  • Data Types: IP address, browser and device technical characteristics, request URL, access time, request headers, and basic security logs.
  • Purpose: To defend against malicious attacks (e.g., DDoS), improve global loading speed, and ensure service stability and network security.
  • Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest based on GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (ensuring website security and continuous operation).
  • Third-party Policy: Please refer to the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

2. Anonymous Traffic Statistics and Interaction Analysis (Umami)

To understand how visitors use this site and to continuously optimize content, we use a self-hosted open-source privacy statistics tool called Umami.

  • Privacy Features: Umami is a privacy-first statistics tool that does not use cookies, does not perform cross-site tracking, and does not collect information that can directly identify your real identity.
  • Basic Statistics: Page views, referrer domains, approximate geographic location (country/region level), device type, browser, and operating system overview.
  • Interaction Events: To optimize theme design and content structure, this site records some anonymous interaction events, such as scroll depth, table of contents expansion/clicks, code copying, and permalink copying. Some events include necessary context (e.g., page path, title, language version).
  • Purpose: To analyze audience preferences and improve article layout, navigation interaction, and external link display.
  • Data Storage: All statistical data is securely stored on a protected VPS server controlled by the webmaster, accessible only for internal analysis. (See Tralume Documentation for details on built-in interaction events).

3. Comment System (Remark42)

This site uses a self-hosted instance of Remark42 to provide comment interaction. This feature is not part of the anonymous statistics and is only triggered when you actively participate in comments:

  • Data Types: When you browse the comment section, log in, post a comment, reply, or "like," the system processes your: comment content, timestamp, associated page URL, public profile info (e.g., nickname, avatar), and technical information necessary for anti-spam and system operation (e.g., IP address).
  • Purpose: To provide comment display and discussion features, perform content moderation, and defend against spam and abuse.

4. Login and Authentication

To support secure login for the comment system, this site integrates the AlexMa's Authentik unified identity authentication platform provided by AlexMa Services.

  • Scope: This policy only describes the use of the authentication service in the specific context of "blog comments." For the complete account system and data processing, please refer to the AlexMa's Authentik Privacy Statement.
  • Data Interaction: When you authorize a login to this site's comment area, the authentication chain only passes the minimum information required to maintain your comment identity (e.g., display name, avatar, email address, or an encrypted alternative identifier, depending on your login method).
  • Purpose: To verify commenter identity, maintain login sessions, and improve the quality and security of the comment section.

Some articles on this site may contain affiliate links or other external links.

  • Statistical Method: When you click such a link, this site records an anonymous "outbound click" event via Umami's link tracking feature.
  • Privacy Commitment: This statistic is only used to evaluate link click-through rates and layout effectiveness. It is absolutely never used to identify you and cannot record any subsequent behavior on the destination merchant's website (such as registration or purchase).
  • Third-party Behavior: Once you jump to a third-party merchant, the merchant may use its own tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, URL parameters) to confirm the traffic source and calculate commissions. This is governed by the merchant's own privacy policy and is completely independent of this site's anonymous statistics.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

This site absolutely does not use any third-party marketing cookies for ad targeting, user profiling, or cross-site tracking.
However, to ensure core website functionality, we may use the following local storage technologies (LocalStorage/SessionStorage) or necessary cookies:

  1. Cloudflare Essential Security Cookies: Used to identify anomalous traffic and defend against network attacks.
  2. Comment and Login Status (Remark42): Used to maintain your login session and identify you as a commenter. If you disable these cookies/local storage, you may be unable to log in or post comments.
  3. Local Interface Preferences: Frontend scripts on this site save your personalized settings (e.g., dark/light theme preference, reading width) locally in your browser. This data exists only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

You can clear or disable cookies and local storage via your browser settings at any time, though this may result in the inability to log in to the comment section or the loss of personalized theme settings.

4. Data Retention and Transfer

  1. Retention Periods
    • Security Logs: Retained short-term by Cloudflare based on their global security policies for troubleshooting and security audits.
    • Anonymous Statistical Data: As long as individual natural persons cannot be identified, this site retains aggregated Umami charts and trend data long-term to review site history.
    • Comment Data: Your comments and associated profile data will be retained until you request deletion, the author removes them, or they are cleared for violating comment rules.
  2. Cross-border Transfer Due to the global nature of the internet and CDN node distribution, your basic technical access data may be routed or processed on servers outside your country or region. We strive to choose reputable cloud service providers that comply with international data protection standards.

If you are located in the European Union / European Economic Area (EEA), or if your jurisdiction applies similar data protection laws, you are legally entitled to the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability regarding your personal data.

1. Exercising Rights Regarding Anonymous Statistics

Because the data collected by Umami is highly anonymous, we are generally unable to accurately associate a specific browsing record with you personally. Therefore, it is technically impossible to directly execute modification or deletion requests for such aggregated data.

2. Exercising Rights Regarding Comments and Account Data

If you have logged in and posted comments on this site, you can request data processing at any time:

  • Deletion of Comment Data: The comment system interface provides a "Delete My Data" or similar self-service option; please prioritize this. If self-service is unavailable, please email i@fur.im with the relevant comment links, timestamps, and display nicknames so we can locate and delete them.
  • Deletion of Authentication Account Data: Currently, the unified identity system (AlexMa's Authentik) does not support self-service account cancellation. To permanently delete your authentication account and associated data, please contact the webmaster via email, specifying your login method and account identifier. After completing necessary identity verification, we will manually erase your data.

Articles on this site often contain hyperlinks to other third-party websites. Please note that these external sites have their own independent privacy policies and terms of service. This Privacy Policy applies only to this site. Any browsing, logging in, or transaction behavior you perform on third-party sites after leaving this site is the responsibility of that party, and this site assumes no joint liability.

7. Children's Privacy

The content of this site is primarily intended for technical developers and adult digital enthusiasts. We do not intentionally collect personal information from minors under the age specified by applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and find that your child has provided personal information to us (e.g., in the comments), please contact us immediately, and we will clear the relevant records as soon as possible after verification.

8. Non-Disclosure and Non-Commercialization Commitment

This site will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial marketing purposes. We will only disclose a minimal amount of necessary information if required by law, regulatory requirements, to handle security incidents, or to protect the legitimate rights and interests of this site and its users.

9. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time as site features iterate, underlying technologies change, or laws and regulations evolve. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may provide more prominent notices via website announcements.

Thank you for your trust in AlexMa's Blog. We will continue to respect and protect your digital privacy.
